The Bull Ring.
Location-
Dove Holes, Derbyshire.
O.S Grid Reference - SK 07867 78247
The Bull Ring is one of the finest upstanding henge monuments in Northern England and would be better known if it weren't for the village and the lack of respect shown by its inhabitants toward it.
In appearance it's very much like Arbor Low, but without the stones, and sadly lacking the rural location of that site.
Located next to the church in the centre of the village, parking is available at the recreation ground the henge is sited on.
From Buxton follow the A6 North till you reach the tiny village of Dove Holes, a short way after you you've crossed the cross roads look out for the recreation ground and church to your right.
