Frank 'Ith Rocks.
Location-
Wolfscote Dale, Derbyshire.
O.S Grid Reference-
SK1317 5843.
The impressive outcrop of Frank 'Ith Rocks stands on the eastern side of the River Dove in Wolfscote Dale at its southern entrance. There are two very obvious caves in the outcrop overlooking the river, but the Neolithic burial cave is located, on the same part of the outcrop, but around the corner and so not visible from the riverside path.
Parking is available in the village centre (by the pond) of Hartington, if it's a weekend make sure you're there early to get your space as the free parking spaces fill up quickly. From here it's a plesant walk of a little of a mile through Beresford Dale and into the mouth of Wolscote Dale.
