Pin Dale Enclosure.

This roughly circular enclosure on rough ground above old rake workings is perhaps best viewed from the road; the moss and undergrowth masking the remains make it hard to fathom when up close.
Dated to the Bronze or Iron Age it's thought the enclosure was possibly used for housing stock, similar to the enclosure of the Holmes near Tideswell. However wall foundations within may be the remains of buildings relating to a small farmstead.
